  • Arun Sao is an Indian politician. He is the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Chhattisgarh. In December 2023, he became the deputy chief minister of Chattisgarh.
  • Arun attended Govt SNG College in Mungeli, Chattisgarh, for his graduation. Following that, in 1995, he finished his LLB studies at Kaushalendra Rao Law College in Bilaspur. After finishing his education in 2001, Arun Sao practised law in the high court. He worked as a panel lawyer for the Chhattisgarh government from 2004 to 2013 and served as the deputy advocate general of the Chhattisgarh High Court from 2013 to 2018.
  • Arun Sao’s father, Abhay Ram Sao, Arun’s father was actively involved with the Jan Sangh and dedicated his time as a volunteer for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu nationalist paramilitary organization, which helped Arun to step into politics with BJP.
