  • Avesh started playing cricket at a very young age under the guidance of his father, who used to play cricket at the local level.

  • Earlier, his father ran a ‘paan shop’ and later became a financial manager in a private company.
  • He started playing tennis ball cricket at the age of 10. Impressed by his talent, his uncle suggested him to work hard and become a professional cricketer.
  • At the age of 14, Avesh joined the Indore Colts Cricket Club.
  • In 2014, he got selected for the Madhya Pradesh cricket team and made his first-class debut against Railways in the 2014-15 Ranji Trophy at Delhi in which he picked 2 wickets in the first innings.

  • He played for India Under-19 in the 2014 and 2016 Under-19 World Cup.

  • His best bowling figure for India Under-19 was against Bangladesh Under-19 in which he picked 4 wickets by taking just 4 runs in 6 overs and in those overs, 3 were maidens.
  • In the 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, he was acquired for Rs 10 lakh by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

  • On 10 April 2023, he took the winning run for LSG against RCB in an IPL match after which he took off his helmet and threw it on the ground in celebration which was considered offensive by many fans.

  • In December 2023, he played for ‘India A’ against ‘South Africa A’ and took a 5-wicket haul in the match.
  • In 2024, LSG traded him to Rajasthan Royals (RR) for his existing fee of Rs 10 crore.

  • In March 2024, he and Rajat Patidar were given the central contract by BCCI in the C-category. They became the first cricketers from Madhya Pradesh to get a BCCI central contract.
  • Avesh has hired a personal dietitian to help him with his fitness. Khan said that he has stopped eating Biryani, one of his favourite foods to achieve a good physical condition.
  • His bowling speed has mostly been recorded at around 145 kph (90 mph), and the fastest ball has been clocked at 149 kph (92 mph).
