  • Rajat Patidar started playing cricket at the age of 9 and played in various local tournaments.
  • He did not play in Under – 14 and Under – 16, due to lack of opportunities and started playing domestic cricket from the age of 18. Initially, he started as a fast bowler but later switched to spin bowling so that he could play more junior cricket.
  • He had an ACL injury in his right knee in 2014 that forced him out of the game for around a year.
  • Rajat Patidar’s family didn’t want him to pursue a cricket career and told him to get a degree and take over their family business; however, he later convinced his family to allow him to play cricket.

  • He made his first-class debut for Madhya Pradesh against Baroda in the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy at Vadodara on 30 October 2015 and scored 60 runs in his debut innings and his maiden century in the second innings.
