• He was born and brought up in a traditional and historic region of Bundelkhand, with the physical disciplines of the Akhada.

• In his early years of life, he developed interest in Bundeli warrior and started the ancient practice of martial arts.

• He started his career with a secure bank job, but his routine and responsibilities started to conflict with his passion for Akhadas.

• In 1982, he took a decision to leave his job and dedicated all his time and efforts towards his passion of Bundeli martial arts and culture.

• In 1964, Bhagwandas Raikwar founded a training center named Chhatrasal Bundelkhand Akhada in Madhya Pradesh, Sagar. The Akhada became a training ground for generations of students interested in traditional martial arts.

• The Akhada was named after a renounced historical warrior Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundela.

• He trained more than 1000 students in Bundeli martial arts and weapon techniques.
