He used to participate in various extracurricular activities in school.

In 2005, he participated in Naalaya Natchathiram, a talent hunt contest. He impressed the judges (including the filmmaker E Ramdas) there with his performance. E Ramdas even gave his contact no. to him.

He then met someone who promised him to give him a chance in acting and took Rs 5000 from him. However, he turned out to be a fraud.

He then called E Ramdas who invited Bobby to his home and advised him to complete his studies first.

Initially, he did various jobs in marketing, sales, and BPO. Later, he decided that he would focus only on acting.

He then did a three-month acting course in Koothupattarai. There, he performed in various street plays and short films.

During this time, he started getting offers of films.

He has appeared in a few Tamil web series like Navarasa (2021) and Kaiyum Kalavum (2022).
