  • Diksha Dagar is an Indian Golf Player who plays left-handedly and is hearing impaired.
  • Diksha started wearing hearing aids at the age of six and that’s when her golf journey started. Initially, it was very difficult for Diksha’s parents to get someone to train her in gold due to her hearing problem; however, because Diksha’s father was a former scratch golfer, he decided that he would start his daughter’s formal training and used to take her to the army golf course located in their hometown.
  • Diksha was well versed in many different sports which included sports like swimming, and basketball, however, she got inclined towards golf because her father used to play and that made her pursue it as her career option. She also loves horse riding, table tennis, shooting, and badminton.
  • Diksha began her amateur golf playing in 2012.
  • In 2015, made her amateur debut by participating in the Hero Women’s Indian Open. In the same year, she took part in the Eastern India Ladies & Junior Girls – Faldo Series India in which she won the tournament and had an overall score of 160 season ranks.

  • In the same year, she took part in the 2017 Summer Deaflympics which was held in Turkey. It was the first time that golf was included as a sport in the Summer Deaflympics and Diksha was the second winner of that tournament.
  • In 2018, Diksha Dagar took part in Thailand’s Asia-Pacific Amateur Ladies Golf Team Championship, which is popularly known as the Queen Sirikit Cup. She ended up having the best score by an Indian by scoring three under 69 and assisted the Indian team in finishing sixth in the women’s team event.   • In the same year, Diksha participated in the 29th edition of the biggest women’s amateur tournament in Singapore and won the Singapore Ladies Amateur Open.
  • In 2019, Diksha entirely shifted into professional golf playing and took part in the South African Women’s Open, a competition which was part of the 2019 Ladies European Tour. She won the competition, making it her first professional win.

  • In 2019, after Indian golfer Aditi Ashok, Diksha became the second Indian female to achieve the Ladies European Tour title for more than one time. Diksha is also the youngest Indian woman to achieve the title at the young age of 18 years old. [4]The Hindu Business Line

  • In 2020, Diksha Dagar along with her team members Aditi Ashok and Tvesa Malik became the first team of golfers from India to participate in a single event at the Ladies European Tour.
  • In the same year, she took part in numerous tournaments some of which include the 2020 Summer Olympics, the 2020 Ladies Scottish Open which was held in Scotland, and the 2020 Dubai Omega Moonlight Classic Tournament held in Dubai. Along with it, Diksha made her Olympics debut and represented India in the 2020 Summer Olympics which were held in Tokyo.
  • In 2021, she represented India in the 2021 Ladies European Tour and won the title of the Aramco Team Series, which was held in London.
