• Dr Pragya Siddharth is an Indian doctor. She is the daughter of the BSP politician Ashok Siddharth. On 26 March 2023, she got married to the BSP head Mayawati’s nephew Akash Anand.

• She met Akash Anand in London, where both of them were pursuing their post-graduation.

• Their marriage was performed according to the Buddhist rituals, and to conduct their marriage, Buddhist monks (Bhante) from Sarnath and Kushinagar, Lucknow were invited.

• Their wedding ceremony was held in Gurgaon and the reception was in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
