Emma Pillemer was trained in dance from a very young age. She participated in several dance competitions as a young girl.

Though she and her siblings spent a part of her childhood in New York City, she completed high school in Sydney, Australia.

According to her, she founded the jewellery brand Emma Pills during the COVID pandemic lockdown, when her travel plans had to be postponed. The brand specialises in 14-karat gold and multi-coloured enamel jewellery.

Her jewellery brand stores the accessories in pill bottles, which, according to her, is inspired by her mother, who used to keep her jewellery in pill boxes while travelling.

In 2021, she was the youngest designer at the Afterpay Australian Fashion Week (AAFW), an annual fashion event, in Sydney Australia.
