Gayatri Jayaraman is a former model and South Indian actress who worked in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam movies.

Up to 4 years of her age, she was raised in Shahabad near Gulbarga in Karnataka and later, she moved to Bangalore.

She was a scholar student who secured 94% in her board examinations and wanted to pursue a career in medical science but she did not get a seat.

She started modeling during her college days and used to maintain a balance in between studies and modeling.

In October 1997, she won the title of Miss Tamil Nadu and Miss South India title in 1998.

She got selected among the 26 finalists from 8000 contestants for Femina Miss India 2000 and reached up to the final fourth round.

She also worked as a VJ for TV show ‘Illimai Pudhumai’ on Sun TV and ‘Telephone Manipol’ on Vijay TV.

She appeared in many south Indian movies like ‘Manadhai Thirudivittai’, ‘Aaduthu Paaduthu’, ‘Shree’, ‘April Maadhathil’, ‘Naidu LLB’, ‘Swamy’, etc.
