• Before entering entertainment industry, he worked as a bouncer at a strip club in USA, where he met comedian Tracy Morgon, who helped him in entering entertainment industry.

• In 2006, Grizz made his acting breakthrough on the NBC sitcom 30 Rock as Grizz.

• He appeared in around 80 episodes across all seven seasons of 30 Rock and became popular for his calm comic timing alongside actor Kevin Brown.

• During the late 200s, Grizz struggled with severe hypertension and kidney cancer.

• In December 2009, Chapman appeared on The Dr. Oz Show, he openly discussed about his kidney diseases and also spread awareness about hypertension.
