• In 2020, when Himanshu Bhau turned 18, he was arrested by the Haryana police in an attempt to murder case and was sent to a juvenile detention centre in Hisar.

• However, after a few weeks, he managed to escape from the juvenile detention centre and got involved in criminal activities.

• Later, Himanshu Bhau became a prime suspect in 17 cases involving charges of murder, extortion, and attempted murders in the Jhajjar and Rohtak districts of Haryana.

• In 2022, he was suspected in three murder cases that happened within 24 days in Haryana. Police then conducted raids on his hiding places. Police also began searching for his suspected associates.

• In 2022, Himanshu Bhau reportedly arranged forged documents and fled from India to Dubai on a fake passport. Later, he relocated to Portugal.

• In December 2023, one of his subordinates fired over 40 rounds at a builder’s office in Dwarka, Delhi.

• Himanshu Bhau became one of the top five gangsters on the wanted list of law enforcement agencies in India.

• In April 2023, the Haryana Police and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) contacted Interpol, which issued a red-corner notice against him.

• In 2023, Himanshu Bhau shifted his base for criminal activities to Delhi-NCR from Haryana and began operating his gang from outside India.

• In February 2024, Himanshu Bhau was suspected in the murder case of Nafe Singh Rathee, the chief of INLD’s Haryana unit, and party worker Jai Kishan. They were shot dead in Bahadurgarh near Delhi, while they were travelling in Rathee’s SUV.

• Himanshu Bhau is wanted in more than thirty criminal cases and organised crimes (as of 2024).

• Himanshu has several awards on his head including a Rs. 2.5 Lakh reward by the Government of India, Rs. 1.5 Lakh reward by the Haryana Police, and Rs. 1 Lakh reward by the Delhi Police.

• His close associates are gangsters Sahil and Yogesh Kadian who are settled outside India.

• In March 2024, a liquor businessman, Sundar Malik, was fired 35-40 rounds at Gulshan Dhaba, situated between Delhi and Sonipat, by one of his associates.

• He is closely associated with jailed gangsters Neeraj Bawana and Naveen Bali in Delhi.

• Himanshu Bhau uses encrypted chat applications like Zangi to connect with his henchmen and targets.

• Reportedly, he is supported by Punjab’s Bambiha gang and some pro-Khalistani groups. He has a rivalry with Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang.

• In May 2024, one of the accused, Ketan, in firing at the Fusion cars showroom in the Tilak Nagar area in New Delhi confessed to the police that the firing was done on the orders of Himanshu Bhau. The gangsters were demanding an extortion money of Rs. 5 crores.
