- Jintimani Kalita is an Indian cricketer who plays for Assam at the domestic level. She gained popularity in 2023 when she was bought by the franchise team Mumbai Indians for the inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League.
- Kalita started her cricketing journey at 12. She developed an interest in the sport while accompanying her brother to the field for training.
Actually, earlier I dropped my brother to the field when he would go for training. After a few days, the game started to attract me and I joined it. That time, perhaps I was around 12 years old.”
- After training at Mangaldai Cricket Stadium, she started to represent Assam at the domestic level.
- Kalita was selected to play for India B in the U-19 Women’s One-day challenger trophy 2021-22.
- She represented Assam in the Senior Women’s T20 League (2019) and Women’s Senior One Day Trophy (2021-22). During a match against Meghalaya in the Senior Women’s One Day Trophy, Kalita walked in and played a mature inning of 78 off 114 balls when Assam was four down for 56, helping Assam get to 214.
