Controversy | Wrong reporting of Obamacare case In June 2012, Kate Bolduan wrongly reported that the Supreme Court justices had struck down Obama’s health care overhaul; however, the court had, in fact, upheld the Obamacare overhaul. In a rush to report the case early, Bolduan reportedly relied information from a producer, Bill Mears, on the phone inside the court building. Shannon Bream, a Fox News correspondent, also reported the case wrongly. CNN later issued an apology and said, "CNN regrets that it didn’t wait to report out the full and complete opinion regarding the mandate. We made a correction within a few minutes and apologize for the error.” [1]The New York Times |
