• Kevin Hart was raised in a single-parent household by her mother. His father was a cocaine addict who was in and out of jail throughout most of Kevin’s childhood.

• Kevin Hart’s relationship with his father improved after his father recovered from his drug addiction.

• When he was a teenager, Kevin wanted to become an NBA basketball player. He also attended the La Salle and Speedy Morris’s basketball camp with the famous basketball player Kobe Bryant and political commentator and activist Marc Lamont Hill.

• While playing basketball, he kept his player name as ‘Lil Bug.’

• He dropped out of college in Philadelphia and moved to New York. Kevin did odd jobs to make ends meet and one of those jobs was as a shoe salesman at an athletic shoe store chain.
