Controversies	Arrested for Possession of Hybrid Ganja (2025) In April 2025, Khalid Rahman along with his friend and film director Ashraf Hamza and one another, were arrested for the possession of hybrid ganja by the Excise department of Kochi. The arrests were made around 2 am on Sunday, following a raid conducted by the Excise Special Squad at a flat near the Goshree Bridge. Acting on a tip-off, officials searched the apartment and seized 1.6 grams of hybrid ganja. The apartment reportedly belongs to a prominent cinematographer from the industry. As per the excise department, the ganja was brought to the apartment for consumption. They were in the apartment for a movie discussion. However, later they were released on station bail.
