ControversiesUse of “harsh language”
In March 2023, during a foundation stone-laying ceremony at Kishangarh, Chandigarh, she came under fire for her use of “harsh language.” During her speech, she said, "Agar Deep Complex mein mujhe ek bhi Banda vote na Dale....to bade laanat ki baat hai....jaakar chittar ferne chaeye unko (If no one from Deep Complex votes for me, it is a highly shameful thing. .....They need to be beaten up with slippers...)." Threatening a Businessman
In 2023, Kirron Kher found herself clouded in a controversy when a businessman named Chaitanya Aggarwal moved to the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, alleging that Kirron and her aide Sahdev Salaria threatened him and his family over money. According to Aggarwal, Kirron initially gave him Rs. 8 crore. He returned Rs. 2 crore in August 2023, but due to market fluctuations in November, he couldn't repay the remaining amount on time following which Kirron allegedly demanded the balance by 15 December 2023, and threatened him and his family. In his petition, Aggarwal claimed that he was once called to Kirron's house, where his phone was snatched, and he was physically harassed by individuals, including Kirron and Sahdev Salaria. On 11 December 2023, the Punjab and Haryana High Court directed the Chandigarh police to provide Aggarwal security for a week. [2]The Indian express [3]PressWire18
