- During his college days, Krishan Pal Gurjar’s interest in politics grew, leading him to actively participate in student politics and become the General Secretary of the college student union.
- He was influenced by the ideas and policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during his education.
- In 1994, Krishan Pal Gurjar won the Corporation Councilor election as a BJP candidate and became the party’s State Minister.
- In 1996, he was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Mewla-Maharajpur constituency in Haryana. He won the seat in the next two terms.
- Krishan Pal Gurjar served as Transport Minister in Bansi Lal’s government from 1996 to 1999.
