- Kuri Prathap became popular after appearing in a prank show titled Kurigalu Saar Kurigalu on Udaya TV. The show was the Kannada version of the prank show ‘Bakra.’ This earned him the nickname ‘Kuri Prathap.’
- He has been part of more than 300 Kannada feature films.
- In 2014, Kuri Prathap then appeared on a famous Kannada prank show called ‘Kuri Bond,’ which was telecasted on Udaya TV.
- He has also been featured on Colors Kannada shows such as ‘Majatacis’ and ‘Big Boss’ as well as shows on Zee Kannada.
