- Kuri Prathap became popular after appearing in a prank show titled Kurigalu Saar Kurigalu on Udaya TV. The show was the Kannada version of the prank show ‘Bakra.’ This earned him the nickname ‘Kuri Prathap.’

- In 2014, Kuri Prathap then appeared on a famous Kannada prank show called ‘Kuri Bond,’ which was telecasted on Udaya TV.
