• Melvin has never taken any formal training in dance and has learned to dance by himself.

• He was passionate about dancing since his childhood and wanted to pursue dancing as his career, and in the process, he participated in the reality TV show, Dance India Dance (DID) in 2009. However, he got eliminated in the mega auditions of the show.
