- Minnu Mani is an Indian cricketer who has played many matches for Kerala, India A, and various other teams. She is known as one of the most consistent runscorers in domestic cricket.
- She started playing cricket with her cousins and boys in the paddy fields nearby her house at the age of 10.
- She participated in athletics and ran 400 meters and 600 meters races before deciding to play cricket professionally.
- When she was in 8th standard, she started attending Mananthavady Government Vocational Higher Secondary School, Idapaddi. There, she was advised by her physical education teacher Elsamma Baby to become a cricketer.
- Elsamma took her to the trials for the under-13 Wayanad district team, where she got selected. She was later selected for Kerala Cricket Association’s junior girl’s camp in Thodupuzha. Her parents were initially not supportive of her cricketing aspirations; however, she lied to them to continue playing, and when she got selected for the junior girl’s camp, they also decided to back her wholeheartedly.
- At the age of 15, she was selected for the under-16 team of Kerala. Within a year, she started playing for Kerala senior team.
- She trains at Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) Stadium, Krishnagiri which is 42 km from her house. She switches four buses to reach the stadium which takes her around 1.5 hours.
- She played for India-A and India Blue teams in the ODI and T20 competitions conducted by BCCI.
- She was the highest runscorer in the 2022 Women’s All-India One-day tournament. In 8 matches, she made 246 runs and took 12 wickets.
- She became the first Kerala player to be auctioned off in the Women’s Premier League when she was acquired by Delhi Capitals for Rs30 lakhs against her base price of Rs 10 lakhs.
- She said in an interview after being selected in WPL that she would purchase a scooter so that she can travel easily. She also revealed that she repaired her house which was destroyed in the 2018 Kerala floods with difficulty.
