• Moon Bin was a South Korean singer, actor, dancer, and model, who was known for being a member of the popular K-pop boy group Astro. He was also a member of the first sub-unit of Astro, Moonbin & Sanha. In 2023, he died of allegedly committing suicide at the age of 25.

• He began his modelling career in 2004 when he was introduced to the modelling world in childhood by his mother.

• In 2009, he portrayed the child version of U-Know Yunho, who is a member of the South Korean male pop duo TVXQ, in the music video of the song ‘Balloons’ TVXQ.

• He became a trainee at Fantagio when he was studying in 5th standard. By the time he was in his middle school years, he became a full-fledged trainee at Fantagio. In 2015, he participated in the boy group project of Fantagio named iTeen.

• In 2014, he played a cameo role in the South Korean TV series ‘Forever Young.’ In 2019, he appeared in the South Korean TV series ‘Moment of Eighteen’ in which he played the role of Jung Oh-je.

• He appeared in a cameo role in many South Korean web series including ‘My Romantic Some Recipe’ (2016), ‘Idol Fever’ (2017), ‘Sweet Revenge’ (2017), and ‘No Going Back Romance’ (2021).

• In 2017, when members of Astro did a live stream on V Live, Moon Bin joked about the disbandment of Astro after five years. During the live stream, he said,

  This statement of his was not well received by the fans of the group as they did not like when he talked about the disbandment of the group, even in a funny way. Many fans got offended; however, many fans understood what he was trying to say and tried to handle the situation.

• In 2018, he, alongside South Korean singer and actress Kim Do-yeon, hosted the Incheon K-Pop Concert.

• In 2018, he was one of the cast members in seasons 1 and 2 of the South Korean TV show ‘The Ultimate Watchlist of Latest Trend.’

• On 12 November 2019, Astro’s management company, Fantagio, shared the news that due to some health reasons, Moon Bin would not promote their EP ‘Blue Flame.’

• On 14 February 2020, after his health got better, he returned from his hiatus and continued to work with his group.

• In 2020, he was cast in a lead role as Choi Woo Hyuk in the South Korean mystery romance web series ‘Mermaid Prince: The Beginning.’

• In 2020, he appeared on the South Korean eco-friendly cooking TV show ‘Food Avengers,’ where he did tasks like picking vegetables on the farm and cooking food for customers in restaurants.

• In 2021, he, along with his Astro bandmates, appeared on the South Korean web show ‘Inssa Oppa,’ where they transform into different characters and introduce products of G market global shop related to K-pop, K-fashion, K-beauty, and K-lifestyle. In the same year, he appeared in season 2 of the web show ‘Saturday Night Live Korea,’ which is an adaptation of the American comedy variety show ‘Saturday Night Live’ (SNL).

• On 14 September 2020, he debuted as a member of the first sub-unit of Astro, ‘Moonbin & Sanha,’ along with his bandmate Yoon San-ha. The sub-group released three EPs titled ‘In-Out’ (2020), Refuge (2022), and Incense (2023).
