  • Mukesh Dalal began his political career by participating in the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha on the state level.
  • Over the years, he became the city executive member of the BJP and later assumed the role of general secretary of the Surat City BJP unit.
  • In 2005, he became a corporator for the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC). He served at the SMC for 3 tenures from 2005 to 2020 and represented the Adajan-Pal-Palanpor area.
  • He is also a member of the Surat District Cricket Association committee. 
  • In 2024, Mukesh Dalal contested in the 2024 Indian General Elections as a BJP candidate from Surat, Gujarat.
  • In April 2024, the Indian National Congress candidate’s application was rejected after which the other candidates also withdrew, leading to Mukesh Dalal’s win. He becomes the first member of the 18th Lok Sabha on 7 May 2024.
