• Before moving to active politics, N. Marie Wilson built a strong presence in Tamil Nadu’s education sector.

• He was born and raised in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and comes from a family closely associated with Jeppiaar Educational group.

• In 2001, while pursuing his bachelor of technology degree, he became Founder-Director of Jeppiaar Engineering College. He served the role untill 2010.

• From 2003 to 2010, Wilson served as the Founder-Director of Jeppiaar International School.

• In January 2011, he was appointed as the Managing Director of Jeppiaar Institute of Technology in Sriperumbudur, Kanchipuram district. While serving at Jeppiaar Institute of Technology, he established Asia’s First IBM Cloud Laboratory in the institute.

• Additionally, Marie became the Managing Trustee of the Jeppiaar Remibai Educational Trust, where he handled several educational and administrative responsibilities within the Jeppiaar group.

• His electoral involvement was the first in the Jeppiaar family after Dr. Jeppiaar, a Honorary Colonel, who contested in the 1989 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election from Thyagaraya Nagar on the Janaki faction ticket; however, he was not elected.

• On 23 November 2025, Wilson helped in organising an indoor closed-door meeting at the that included Jeppiaar Institute of Technology campus. The meeting was addressed by TVK leader Vijay and included approximately 2,000 party cadres. It was the party’s first such event after the 27 September 2025 Karur stampede incident.

• In March 2026, TVK announced him as its candidate for the Dr. Radhakrishnan Nagar constituency in Chennai.

• During the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly election, he was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly from Dr. Radhakrishnan Nagar. He defeated Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate J. John Ebenezer by a margin of 49,668 votes after securing 97,800 votes.

•  In May 2026, N. Marie Wilson was appointed as Minister for Finance, Planning and Development in the Tamil Nadu Cabinet led by Vijay.
