- Having successfully cleared the UPSC examination in 1989, Nitin Agrawal underwent training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Telangana.
- In 1989, Nitin Agrawal commenced his professional journey as an Assistant Engineer at the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE), where he dedicated his services for approximately one year.
- As an IPS officer, Nitin Agrawal has held esteemed positions throughout his career. Notably, he served as Deputy Inspector General in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Inspector General in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and Inspector General in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
