• Pratim Mukerjea became Peter when he moved to England from India with his father.

• After completing his graduation, he began his marketing career with ‘Heinz,’ an American food processing company and British retailer ‘Storehouse plc’ in the United Kingdom.

• Thereafter, Peter Mukerjea worked for some time at Ogilvy & Mather as an account director in both New Delhi and London.

• He then started working as a Sales Director at STAR TV in Hong Kong in 1993.

• In 1997, Peter Mukerjea was promoted to the post of Executive Vice President at STAR TV in Hong Kong and worked in the position until 1999.

• In 1999, Star TV appointed him its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), a designation he held for 8 long years.

• In January 2007, Peter Mukerjea resigned from STAR India. His resignation included a non-compete clause which restricted him from joining a competing broadcast service for 6 months. He, therefore, took the charge of chairman of Indrani’s HR company, INX Services Pvt. Ltd.

• As soon as the clause expired, Peter joined INX Media and became the chief strategy officer of the firm, and resigned in 2009. He had, by 2010, sold his stakes in the company.

• In 2015, during the Sheena Bora Murder Case investigations, Peter revealed that Indrani Mukerjea did not like Rahul Mukerjea’s relationship with Sheena. He confessed to the police that Indrani introduced Sheena to him as her sister, and after Sheena’s murder, he was in shock to know that Sheena was her daughter.
