In May 2023, POORSTACY was arrested after Coral Springs police received a domestic-violence complaint from his girlfriend, who alleged that he dragged her by the hair, punched and slapped her, and threw a bassinet containing their one-month-old baby, along with a pet cage, during the incident.   • He was raised in a family that was deeply involved in music and playing instruments.
  • His father taught him multiple instruments when he was a young child.
  • When he was a child, he was inspired to listen to rock music and play guitar through playing Guitar Hero (2005).
  • From a young age, he drew inspiration from local metalcore and the underground hip hop scene in Miami. He soon started performing live with his band in the local heavy metal, punk rock, and gothic rock scenes.
  • Initially, he made music under a number a pseudonyms, including Lito Xantana, Vizion, and Scarybrats. Later, he chose the stage name “Poorstacy,” inspired by the skater Stacy Peralta. He said he liked the story of Stacy Peralta because, even though Stacy didn’t get much attention at the beginning, he became a legend later.
