Some Lesser Known Facts About Rashi Mal

Rashi Mal is a multitalented, charming actress, dancer, singer, scriptwriter and lyricist.

From an early age, she has been working extensively in many street plays and theatre shows.

She has a passion for dancing since her childhood and started her career as a choreographer at Lobo’s Academy.

She had choreographed several songs for academy students but later she quit her job and moved to America and studied Diploma in Film Making from NewYork Film Academy, diploma in musical theatre at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and songwriting at Berklee College of Music.

After completing her diploma, she returned to India and has a diploma in Method Acting from The Jeff Goldberg Studio, Mumbai and started her career as a theatre artist.

After working in a number of stage shows and theatre, she started giving auditions and after the long period of struggle, she got the role in the popular TV serial ‘MTV Crush’.

She has worked in many web-series, mini-series (‘Boygiri’, ‘A.I.SHA -My Virtual Girlfriend’, ‘Time Out’ etc.), TV shows (‘MTV Rush’, ‘Love By Chance’) and movies.

She is best known for her role as a ‘Gauri Laada’ in the mini-series ‘Paanch 5 Wrongs Make A Right’ on Channel V.

Apart from acting, she has also worked as a writer for Disney channel and has written the scripts for their cartoon characters and also directed short films/plays.

Her first short film ‘The Wedding Story by Julianne Homokay’ won an international award, held by the brand Hewlett-Packard (American multinational IT company).

She has also done several ad campaigns of leading brands such as Lays, Acer, Closeup, Lenskart, Voonik with Farah Khan and Yepme for Yash Raj Films.
