• Ritesh is a UK-based NRI businessman who is famous for being the husband of the Indian dancer and model Rakhi Sawant.

• He came into the limelight after Rakhi’s pictures dressed up as a newly-wed bride went viral on social media and she revealed that she was married to a businessman named Ritesh. However, there were rumours about his existence as Ritesh never revealed his identity.

• Later, when Rakhi was inside the house of Bigg Boss 14, Ritesh said in an interview,
  

  I think it is totally my fault and mistake and my selfish nature that I kept my identity under wraps. I always had this fear that after revealing my relationship and identity in front of everyone because of bad humour, my shares can get affected. This was my selfish nature.”

  He added,

  I had two-three defence projects in the past and I could not reveal my identity. It would have hit me very badly. We got married all of a sudden, we met, liked each other and got married. We had not planned anything. Now, I am prepared and can openly tell the world that Rakhi Sawant is my wife. I feel nothing is more important to me than Rakhi at this point of time. Hence, I am ready to take this risk.”

• In 2021, he entered the house of Bigg Boss 15 as a wild card contestant. On the show, he was welcomed by his wife, Rakhi Sawant, who danced to the song ‘Mere Piya Ghar Aaya.’ When Ritesh entered the house, Rakhi touched his feet and Ritesh hugged and kissed her on her cheeks.

• After entering the house of Bigg Boss 15, Ritesh revealed that the duo first had a conversation on Whatsapp. Revealing the details about their first conversation, Ritesh said that he was organising an event in Mumbai when his PA gave Rakhi’s number to him. He further said,
  

  Some things were not going well in my life and I was depressed. I wanted to speak to someone who is not from my profession or known. I send ‘Hi’ to her and she blocked me.”

• After a few days, Ritesh used another number to text Rakhi and this time Rakhi responded to his messages. Talking about the same, Rakhi said,
  

  That time I was depressed. I had a boyfriend, who I learnt is a don. He was a loan shark and I was scared from my life. So I was seeking help from him and wanted to get married.”

• Ritesh also revealed that once he sent one of his friends’ proposals to Rakhi and asked him not to accept it, otherwise he would lose his job.

• They first became friends and then fell in love with each other.

• On his first day inside the house of Bigg Boss, Rakhi joked about wearing heavy makeup and asked Ritesh not to get scared at night. Ritesh replied,
  

  I don’t care about your makeup, I am in love with your seerat not surat.”

• During an interview, when asked about having kids with Rakhi, Ritesh said,
  

  Yes, next year we are planning to have a baby. This year because of COVID we couldn’t meet. But next year we are thinking of taking our relationship a step ahead.”

  I was her fan from the day I saw her in her interview with Prabhu Chawla. And, I have seen almost all her work till date.”
