In May 2006, Radke fought with a man named Marcel Colquitt. Both of them brought extra men along with them to fight. During the fight, one of the men accompanying Ronnie named Chase Rader shot Michael Allen Cook who was accompanying the other party. Cook was killed on the spot and Colquitt's brother was also severely injured. The shooter and Radke were arrested and Ronnie Radke pleaded guilty to bodily harm given that he owned Brass Knuckles. He was put on probation for five years and was given a fine of $92,372 in restitution to the mother of Cook. Ronnie broke the rules of his probation and was later sentenced to two and a half years in prison. [1]Las Vegas Weekly

Arrested for domestic violence
On 1 May 2012, Radke was charged with domestic violence as he was accused of hitting his then girlfriend Sally Watts. He was arrested for the same on 6 August 2012 after he did not appear for any court hearings. Later, he was released as he was arrested without incident but was fined $30,000. He faced charges of a misdemeanour count of corporal injury and misdemeanour of false imprisonment by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. In May 2014, the case against Radke was dismissed.

Arrested for Assault
In September 2012, while performing with his band Falling in Reverse at the Six Flags Great Adventure Amusement park in New Jersey, Radke threw three mic stands towards the audience which injured a 16-year-old girl and a 24-year-old man. Radke was charged with simple assault and aggravated assault and released on $25,000 bail. Later, he also publicly apologized for this incident claiming that he did not injure the people purposely. After the incident, the Amusement Park banned hard rock and heavy metal bands from performing at the park. [2]Hollywood Reporter

Accused of Sexual Assault
In June 2015, a 25-year-old woman accused Radke of sexually assaulting her after his concert at the Murray Theatre in Salt Lake City, Utah. After the investigation, the police found no evidence. Later, Radke filed a case of defamation against the woman.

Some Lesser Known Facts About Ronnie Radke

  • Ronnie Radke’s mother was a drug addict and was absent for most of his childhood. He claims that this was the reason for his lack of respect for women; however, in 2014, he posted a picture with his mother after one of his concerts on his Instagram account saying that he had forgiven her. 
  • According to Radke, his father is white and his mother is Blackfoot and Portuguese.
  • He learnt to play guitar at a very young age. He began by playing the songs by the American rock band Blink-182.

  • Radke formed his first band with his friend Mitch during school and named the band 3.0. He ran away from his home and moved in with Mitch and his mother. He also quit high school to pursue music full-time.
  • They performed at various events in Las Vegas including Chain Reaction and the Huntridge.
  • After the band split, he moved back to his father’s house in Las Vegas. He joined back to school; however, he dropped out again after a short time.
  • Later, he joined another band named Lefty.
  • Ronnie became friends with the American musician Maxwell Scott Green after he met him at a talent show after Ronnie joined his second band Lefty.
  • In 2002, he composed various songs with the American music producer Michael Baskette including “Listen Up!”, “The Worst Time” and “The Departure”.
  • Radke formed another band known as the True Story with Max Green. They composed a demo song titled “This Is Not the End.” After being inspired by the rock band Thrice, he began screaming which led to the formation of the band Escape the Fate.

  • Ronnie became the lead vocalist of True Story after it was formed. According to various reports, the complete band came together through a social media networking website Myspace. Soon after the complete formation of the band, they gained fame and a massive fan following through local radio.

  • In May 2006, the band composed its debut EP “There’s No Sympathy for the Dead.” The band’s debut album Dying Is Your Latest Fashion reached No. 12 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. The album reached No. 12 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart.
  • Ronnie Radke was kicked out of the band in 2008 after his imprisonment for owning Brass Knuckles.
  • While being imprisoned at the High Desert State Prison in Nevada, Radke composed various songs for his upcoming band named From Behind These Walls. Later, he changed the name of the band to Falling in Reverse due to copyright issues.
  • While he was still in prison, Radke and the American singer Craig Mabbitt fell in a feud which resulted in Escape the Fate insulting Radke during live performances and Radke responding with derogatory comments about the band members on social media.
  • Falling in Reverse was signed by American record label Epitaph Records. The band made its debut with the single “Raised by Wolves” (2010).
  •  In July 2011, the band released its debut album titled The Drug in Me Is You. The album reached number 19 on the Billboard 200. It also sold 18,000 copies in its first week and was given gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in December 2019.
  • On 31 March 2013, he started his own YouTube channel and released his solo song titled “Fair-Weather Fans.”
  •  In 2014, both rival bands “Escape the Fate” and “Falling in Reverse” collaborated for the “Bury the Hatchet” tour to signify an end to the hostilities among them.

  • In 2015, he publicly announced that he does not follow any religion as he believes that Christianity does not treat LGBT people well.
  • In December 2022, he published a memoir along with the journalist Ryan J. Downey titled “I Can Explain.” According to him, he titled his memoir like this because he found it to be funny as previously he had been in a lot of trouble for various reasons.
