  • On 7 January 2018, at around 4 am, when he, along with 5 other powerlifters, was travelling from Delhi to Panipat, their Swift Dezire car hit a road divider and subsequently hit a pole on the Delhi-Panipat National Highway-1. While 4 powerlifters were killed on the spot, Saksham Yadav got severely injured along with another powerlifter named Rohit. Though both were rushed to Max Hospital in north-west Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh but Saksham was later moved to AIIMS in central Delhi, where he died from his injuries.
