• She developed an interest in acting at a young age and recalled performing in her first stage play at the age of 16 with the Valayanad Kala Samithi.

• Savithri began her theatre journey in 1961, working with amateur theatre groups in areas including Mankavu, Thiruvannur and Meenchanda.

• Her first stage production was Karutha Velicham, staged by the Valayanad Kala Samithi.

• She spent nearly two decades in amateur theatre before entering professional theatre in 1984 with Kalinga Theatre, founded by renowned playwright K. T. Mohammed.

• During her long theatre career, Savithri worked with several prominent Kozhikode-based theatre groups, including Kalinga Theatre, Sangamam Theatre, Chiranthana Theatres and Stage India.

• Her major breakthrough came in 2018, when director Zakariya Mohammed cast her as Jameela, popularly remembered as “Umma,” in Sudani from Nigeria.

• Some of her notable stage productions included Sudani from Nigeria (2018), Mera Naam Shaji (2019), Ittymaani: Made in China (2019), Urmila (2020), Paappan (2022), and Vayasethrayaayi? Muppathiee..!! (2024).
