• Swoopna Suman is a Nepali singer and song writer.

• He started singing at a very young age and always wanted to be a singer. He was just 15 years old when he decided to pursue a career with singing. According to him, there was not any special incident but only pure passion and love towards music that inspired him to take up singing professionally.

• Swoopna Suman never took a formal training for singing. He worked on improving his singing skills watching videos on YouTube. During an interview, he revealed,
  

  YouTube has always been my greatest guru. I learned to play guitar by watching tutorial videos on YouTube and got some amazing tips on vocals as well from the videos there. So yeah, YouTube has been the best source of knowledge for me.”

• The singer claims Ed Sheeran to be his biggest inspiration in music and it’s because of him that he started taking songwriting
  seriously.

• Before starting his career on You Tube, the Nepali singer took part in a reality show. He got selected for the competition but the
  show didn’t take place after its first round. Later, he worked on building his singing career  though social media platforms and never took part of any reality show. When asked about taking part in one of the Nepal’s most popular singing reality show Nepal Idol, he replied,

  Nepal Idol is an amazing platform for rising artists but my aims and goals are completely different. So I guess I won’t be taking part in any reality shows in the future but I hope someone better gets the opportunity they deserve.”

• Swoopna Suman rose to fame after his collaboration with Arbitrary Group. Talking about the association, he said,
  

  The journey with Arbitrary Group has been amazing so far. The people and artists here are really amazing and wonderful to work with. I feel really blessed to be able to be a part of this amazing team.”

• He had his first ever live concert at Pragya Pratisthan in Kathmandu in 2015. Talking about his feelings before his first ever concern, he narrated,
  

  I was really nervous and to make things worse, I got sick. I had a fever and the medicines had a negative effect on my throat. I felt like I couldn’t do the show but the amazing support from the audience made it possible. It was an amazing experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life.”

• During a media interaction, he was questioned about his real name which isn’t exactly Swoopna Suman. Can you tell us how did you become Swoopna Suman from
  

  I never liked my name since my childhood. I used to study in a hostel and every Saturday they showed us movies and in most of the Bollywood films, the name of the actress would be Suman. I used to be embarrassed. I always wanted to have a grand stage name and I tried different names during my school days until I came up with the name Swoopna which sounded pretty cool and meaningful as well. So I took up the name — Swoopna being my stage name and Suman my real name.”

• Swoopna Suman took to Instagram to announce his marriage with his long time girlfriend Jyotsna Yogi. The singer posted a video with the the following caption on social media.
  

  Being able to love someone with all my heart and being able to receive the same is a very special feeling. I feel blessed to have found a partner like jojo who has always been my biggest strength since day one! After 4 beautiful years of togetherness, we got married with the blessings of our close friends and family on May 4th, 2022. I am sharing this song I wrote for her and our special day.
