Some Lesser Known Facts About Yogendra Tiku

Yogendra Tiku was still in school when he joined a theatre group ‘Prayag Rang Manch’.

During his college, he continued with his theatre and also qualified in the All India Drama Audition. Since then, he has been an “A” grade Drama Voice of All India Radio.

After completing his college, he took a job in Ahmedabad with Ministry of Home Affairs. He learned Gujarati there and joined Gujarati theatre.

Yogendra Tiku has always been interested in music, so, he learned Indian-classical music from singer Smt. Saroj Gundani in Ahmedabad. He did many stage shows in Gujarat.

He joined an African group and did many stage shows in Africa. He later took a job in Electronics field in Nairobi, South Africa and stayed there for almost 8 years.

After coming back to India, he used to work 9 to 5 in a government office, and in his free time, he continued his theatre and radio dramas. Later, he started acting in Door Darshan’s TV serials and telefilms in supporting roles.

Yogendra Tiku is a huge fan of actress Shabana Azmi, with whom he got a chance to work in Neerja. He also had taken an autograph as a fan when both were young.
