- While growing up in Pretoria, Markram attended Cornwall Hill College (CHC) for high school.
- In 2012, he matriculated from Pretoria Boys High School.
- According to Markram, at the age of two, he got his first cricket kit.
- While studying in school, Markram also played rugby and soccer besides cricket.
- During his school years, he participated in indoor cricket for a few years and was a member of the Villagers cricket team in Irene where he played club cricket.
- When Markram reached high school, he started focussing more on cricket over rugby.
- When he was studying at Cornwall Hill College (CHC) in Pretoria, cricket coach Bloemink sharpened his cricket skills.
- In 2007, Aiden was a member of the Northerns U13 Standard Bank team. He did not participate in the U17 or U19 levels (Coke Week or Cubs Week).
- During his time at Pretoria Boys High, he began participating in team cricket for the first time in 2010.
- Following his graduation in 2012, he enrolled in the Tuks Cricket Academy for the 2013 season, where he focused on refining his cricket abilities for almost ten months. In an interview, he talked about his Tuks days and said,
