Some Lesser Known Facts about Vikram Rathour

  • He played for the Indian Team from 1996 to 1997. He played only 6 Test matches and 7 ODIs for Team India. In 6 Test matches, he scored 131 runs in the 10 innings at the average of 34.20 and in 7 ODI matches, he scored 193 runs at the average of 27. He could not do well and hit only two half-centuries in ODIs.

  • He has not much experience at the International level but in First-Class cricket, he has a lot of experience; He scored 11473 runs in 146 matches with 33 centuries. While playing for India, he was injured at the shoulders that affected his performance.
  • Rathour was a member of the Punjab Cricket Team, which won the Ranji Trophy in 1992.
  • He retired from First-Class cricket in 2003 and settled in England. However, he was called to coach the Punjab Cricket Team. He has also coached the Himachal Cricket Team and Vizag Victors of Odisha.
  • In 2011, he was the assistant coach of the IPL team, Kings XI Punjab.
