- Bickram Ghosh is known for his extraordinary virtuosity and dexterity on tabla and is widely recognized for his work in experimental fusion music.
- He is well known for being an accompanist for Pt. Ravi Shankar with whom he played for over a decade. He played on Ravi Shankar’s album “Full Circle” which won a Grammy.
- Bickram has also played on George Harrison’s album Brainwashed which eventually received a Grammy Award.
- Bickram’s band Rhythmscape which is a fusion of different styles of music made it’s UK debut in 2003 at Queen Elizabeth Hall, London. In 2004, the band also performed at the forum at Barcelona where they shared stage with Bob Dylan, The Sting, Norah Jones and Phil Collins. In 2005, they did a sold-out show at the rhythm sticks festival in London.
- He also played the final performance of commonwealth games in 2010 at New Delhi among 17 other topmost musicians from India.
