• Akash Singh is an Indian dancer who is known for being the winner of  talent based show Hunarbaaz – Desh Ki Shaan 2022.

• Akash Singh has enjoyed dancing since he was a youngster. During his school days of dancing, he acquired a particular interest in a specific kind of dancing known as Acro dance, which mixes classical dance technique with precision acrobatic aspects. Because the dancer was from a hamlet and did not have access to the necessary equipment to learn the dance style, he began practising on the trees in his community.Talking about his initial days, he said,
  

  I started my aerial act in my village. You need height for aerial acts and it is not possible everywhere. So, in my village I used to hang a piece of cloth on the tree and practice.”

• Akash Singh relocated from Bihar to Mumbai in 2018 to pursue a career in aerial dance. He just had two thousand and five hundred rupees with him when he travelled there. He began practising his dance on a tree near a beach in Mumbai to further his practise. Later, he began performing as a back dancer in dance exhibitions and award ceremonies.

• Akash auditioned for Colors TV’s Hindi-language reality television programme ‘Hunarbaaz: Desh Ki Shaan,’ which was judged by Mithun Chakraborty, Parineeti Chopra, and Karan Johar, in 2022, and was chosen based on his skill. During his introduction round, he shared his problems with the judges, to which actress Parineeti Chopra became upset and pledged to assist him in any way she could. Throughout each performance, the live studio audience chose whether or not a competitor moves to the next round by using voting panels. Initially he was very scared to perform in front of suh big starts but the judges made him comfortable and he gave his best performance to them Talking about it, he narrated,
  

  The experience on Hunarbaaz was really nice. When I came on the show I was very scared, did not know anyone, but now everyone on the show has become like a family, all the judges and contestants. I am going to miss all of this.”

• Akash Singh improved his dancing talents with each show, with the help of a professional dancer, and quickly gained popularity among the crowd. Hunarbaaz’s grand finale was held on April 17, 2022, and Akash Singh was proclaimed the show’s winner. He received the winner’s trophy as well as a monetary prize of Rs. 15 lakh. Yo Highness, a dance group from Mumbai’s Nala Sopara, came in second place and got a monetary prize of 5 lakh rupees. After winning his first talent show, Akash said,
  

  I had never thought that I would win the show or will be one of the finalists. I am really happy to win, because the dream with which I came to Mumbai has been fulfilled. I am elated and so is my family. I can’t find the words to express the emotions that I am going through, and it all feels so surreal! I had started my journey on the show with a dream to make it big and today after winning the show I feel like I have fulfilled every bit of it. Judges were very supportive. They always encouraged me. It was a huge deal for me to perform in front of them. Parineeti ji who made me her brother and gave me so much love, gifted me a jacket, shoes and also tied a rakhi. I am really going to miss them a lot.”

• The Hunarbaaz winner took a special moment to thank the judges of the show for supporting him throughout his journey. He said,
  

  I would like to thank Karan sir, Mithun sir and Parineeti ma’am for guiding me throughout the show, and to COLORS for giving me this opportunity of a lifetime. Lastly, I want to thank my family and friends for having my back and supporting me in this life-changing journey.”

• During an interview, Akash Singh revealed that he would use the money to gift a house to his family. He told the media that,
  

  We don’t have a house. So, I want to make a house for my parents in our village with the prize money I won on the show. I would like to do everything to give them a better life.”
