• Ankit Panth is an Indian eSports player, who is considered one of India’s most popular Counter-Strike gaming professionals.

• When Ankit was 15 years old, he asked for Rs. 20 from his parents so he could go to a gaming cafe but he ended up getting scolded. After that, he never asked for money and started saving money to go to the gaming cafe on weekends.

• In an interview, Ankit revealed that he was 16 years old when he began his esports journey and said,
  

  One day I saw my school friends entering a shop which had gaming characters on its entrance door. I followed them and there were so many more kids like us inside playing games on the computers. They were shouting, enjoying and having fun. The atmosphere inside gave me a good vibe. I started with Counter-Strike 1.6 and slowly got better. Later on, I got to know that you can participate in tournaments and get prizes, also if you win the big tournaments you get a chance to represent your country. That’s when I decided I should give this a try.”

• Ankit’s father had to break his fixed deposits and his mother also had to sell her jewellery to afford the gaming equipment for Ankit; however, after his huge success, Ankit brought them back. In an interview, Ankit said,
  

  From crying for days to get my hands on a personal computer to now having 4 high end systems at my disposal currently. I did not know much at that time nor could I see the future. I only knew how to work and I kept doing that.”

• In an interview, Ankit said that the gaming cafe’s owner once told him that he would not charge anything from him as he wanted him to win tournaments.

• The owner of the gaming cafe was very impressed with Ankit’s gaming skills so he told him that he would not charge anything but in return he wanted Ankit to participate in eSports tournaments.

• Ankit’s parents insisted he pursues an Aeronautical Engineering degree and MBA; however, he refused to do so as he was not interested. Later, he convinced his parents and graduated with a different degree.

• Ankit has formed two gaming teams, Warriors of Chaos (WOC) and Made in Mumbai (MiM), which participated in tournaments and helped him gain money.

• Ankit played as a substitute for Aakash ‘RiX’ More’s team, which was in the top three in India at the time.

• In 2008, Ankit and Aakash “RiX” More started a player-owned professional Indian esports Team, Brutality. They won their first major Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament, which highlights to be Ankit’s first tournament win.

• In an interview, Ankit revealed that in the beginning, he did not have any mentor to teach him how to play and according to him, the best player in his cafe at that time was KingdeviL. He taught Ankit during his initial e-gaming days and later on when he got to professional tournaments, Aakash ‘RiX’ More helped him a lot.

• In 2022, Ankit was signed by HyperX, a Gaming peripherals company, as their first Indian brand ambassador. On this, HyperX said,
