  • During the 1990s, he joined his father’s company, Shamin & Company Private Limited, which was the largest bottle manufacturer for Pepsico in Multan, Pakistan. Over time, he climbed the corporate ladder and eventually became the Managing Director (MD) of the company.

  • In 2018, Alamgir Tareen, in partnership with his nephew Ali Khan Tareen, purchased Multan Sultans, a team in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). They acquired the franchise through the Multan Consortium for a total of $6.35 million.

  • According to reports, the police discovered a suicide note near Alamgir Tareen’s body, in which he allegedly mentioned a medical condition that compelled him to take such a drastic step. After his death, two suicide letters, one in English and the other in Urdu, started circulating widely.   • Following Alamgir Tareen’s death, his alleged fiance, Shazo, came forward and stated that he was not facing any significant physical ailment prior to his passing; however, she did not provide any specific reason or explanation for his decision to take his own life. They had got engaged to each other earlier and were planning to get married in December 2023.
