Controversies | • In 2015, after the live stage performance at the Nakoder Mela, the Punjabi singer, Preet Harpal, claimed copyright issues on the song that he performed at the event. • In 2024, he was accused by Bajrang Dal and the Vishva Hindu Parishad of hurting the sentiments of the Hindus through his song Mera Ki Kasoor. This led to a protest against him due to which his concert got cancelled in Himachal Pradesh. This was the third time the show was cancelled in Himachal Pradesh. In his defence, he took to social media where he asked the CM of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to intervene. He also apologised to his fans for any offense caused by his song. |
