  • Javed Jaffrey is the son of veteran comedian, Jagdeep Jaffrey.
  • Jaffrey made a huge impact on his debut, with the film Meri Jung (1975); his portrayal of a negative character was widely appreciated.
  • As an anchor, his TV shows named Videocon Flashback and Timex Timepass that aired on Channel V became instant hits in the early 90’s.
  • Jaffrey is not only a judge but also the co-founder of India’s first dance reality show- Boogie Woogie.
  • The song “Mumbhai,” from the film Bombay Boys was conceived, written and choreographed by Jaffrey. It remained at the #1 spot on the charts for 6 weeks.
  • Jaffrey’s first wife, Zeba Bakhtiar, a Pakistani actress, was briefly married to singer Adnan Sami in 1993. Notably, this was Zeba’s third marriage.
  • Jaffrey also gave his voice for a number of cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Don Karnage. His commentary for Pogo’s Takeshi’s Castle, a Japanese TV show, became very popular among both kids and adults.
