- Sheetal Ranganathan was a brilliant student who got the university’s first Rank in all three years of Bachelor of Science studies at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi.
- As a student, she was a member of the Society of Young Scientists at AIIMS.
- During her post-graduate studies, she also did a research dissertation (credit course) in Molecular Biology and Immunology, specializing in Tuberculosis.
