Controversies	Accused of Sexual Misconduct with a Bengali Actress In 2022, the Bengali actress Rupanjana Mitra claimed in an interview that Arindam Sil had misbehaved with her during the script reading session of the Bnegali TV serial Bhoomikanya. She stated that she was called in his office and after reaching at 5 pm she found out no one was present at the office except him. He touched her inappropriately during the session. She was unable to complain immediately as she was contract-bound and did not want to ruin the reputation of the channel. Later, Arindam Sil denied the allegations and claimed her statement to be a political stunt. [1]India TV News Accused of Sexually Harassing an Actress In July 2024, an actress filed a complaint against Arindam Sil to the West Bengal Commission for Women, accusing him of sexual harassment. She claimed that on 3 April 2024, during the shoot of the Bengali film Ekti Khuner Sandhane Mitin, he ordered her to sit on his lap and forcibly kissed her without her consent. The incident took place at a resort. Later, she demanded a public apology in writing which he accepted and delivered it to the West Bengal Commission for Women. The letter stated that the act was "unintentional" which the actress protested and claimed to remove the word "unintentional." On 8 April 2024, he was suspended from the Directors' Association of Eastern India (DAEI). Thereafter, Arindam Sil stated in an interview that the other crew members did not object to his actions during the shoot; he was explaining the scene to the actress and uses the same procedure with other actors as well.
