Controversies | • Arrested for allegedly evading GST After the complaint of the Director General of GST Intelligence Unit against several entities and individuals for alleged input tax credit (ITC) fraud, his residence was raided on 6 October 2024 and Rs. 20 lakhs were recovered along with some gold. On 7 October 2024, he was arrested by the Ahmedabad Crime Branch. The Gujarat police claimed that Mahesh had used the name of his wife and his relatives for running one of the companies that were named in the complaint.
