• Shehzeen Siddique’s husband, Baba Siddique, was a politician, who was associated with the Indian National Congress for around 48 years. However, in February 2023, he quit INC to join the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

• Apart from politics, Baba Siddique also had a strong hold in Bollywood. He was known for organising grand iftar parties for Bollywood and television celebrities.

• Her son, Zeeshan Siddique, is also a politician, who is associated with the Indian National Congress. On 24 October 2019, he became the youngest MLA in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

• Her daughter, Arshia Siddique, had also joined politics for a while. However, she decided to leave politics to pursue a career in medicine.

• On 12 October 2024, three masked men opened fire at Baba Siddique outside his son’s office in Bandra East, Mumbai. He was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he breathed his last. Later, it was revealed that his murder was planned by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
