• On 1 July 1996, she was appointed as SDO (Junior Scale) in Bishnupur (Manipur) under the AIS Cadre for Personnel and General Administration. She served in the position till 1 August 1997.

• On 31 December 2025, she made headlines when she was appointed as the Chief Secretary of West Bengal.
