• On 5 February 2026, Anju Krishna, along with 7 other individuals, including an assistant director, Vincy Niveth, was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Intelligence Unit (ANIU) South team in Valasaravakkam.

• The arrests took place after police received information about a suspected drug network operating in various parts of the city.

• During the operation, the police acted like a drug buyer and contacted a man named, who was suspected of supplying drugs. When he arrived in a car to deliver the drugs, the police stopped the vehicle and arrested everyone inside. Anju Krishan was also in the same vehicle.

• During the raid, police seized six grams of methamphetamine, seven grams of Ocean Green cannabis, 15 grams of normal cannabis, a lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) stamp, and nine mobile phones.

• After the arrest, Anju Krishna and all the other were brought before a magistrate’s court and placed in judicial detention.
