- Sibi George is an Indian diplomat from the 1993 batch of the Indian Foreign Service, who was born and raised in Pala, Kottayam, Kerala.
- He was a gold medallist in both graduation and post-graduation from St. Thomas College, Palai and hold a master’s degree in Political Science.
- Sibi also earned a diploma in Arabic from the American University of Cairo.
- In 1993, George joined Indian Foreign Services. During the early years of IFS, Sibi received training at Bahadur Shashtri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS), New Delhi, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi.
- George started his diplomatic career in Cairo as a Political Officer.
- After Cario, in the late 1990s, he worked in Doha as First Secretary, where he handled consular, community, media and information affairs.
