• Tahsin Jamshid was born and grew up in Doha, Qatar.

• His parents belongs to Kerala and are Indian Malayali.

• His father, Jamshid Thachankandy, is from Thalassery, and his mother, Shyma, is from Valapattanam.

• Jamshid was selected for the India youth football camp; however, he did not attend. The Calicut University chose him for the Sir Ashutosh Mukherjee Shield and played alongside Jo Paul Ancheri, a noted football player from Kerala.

• Jamshid is a former vice-captain for the University of Calicut football team.

• Jamshid left his timber business, and moved from Calicut, India, to Doha, along with his wife, Shyma, who belonged to Valapattanam.

• Jamshid stopped playing football for some time after he suffered an injury.

• He started working as an accountant in Qatar.

• In Doha, Jamshid used to spend his Friday holiday at local stadium playing football with his friends, colleagues and younger son, Tahsin, who was four years old.

• In 2017, he joined the sub- junior team of Al-Duhail SC.

• During this period, a bus from club would pick him up in the morning and drop him back in the evening.

• Reportedly, he used to talk about football all the day.

• Once, his coach talked about his position on the football ground. He said,
  

  Apart from a forward, he also played as a left winger as well as right winger.”

• As a child, Tahsin Jamshid was trained by two Algerian instructors. They trained him in his attacking runs, his angles, his movement off the ball.

• He has represented Qatar in its U-16, U-17, and Qatar U-17 national teams. He plays as a left winger.

• In 2021, Tahsin Jamshid played for the Qatar U16 team.

• During the 2022 World Cup, he watched every Cristiano Ronaldo match he could from the same stadium stands where his father once played football on Fridays.

• In 2023, he made his U17 debut for Qatar, and in 2024, he played in U19 team.

• Tahsin Jamshid began his football career in the Qatar Stars League, a top football team in the country.

• On 31 March 2024, he made his professional senior debut for Al Duhail in a match against Al Rayyan in the Qatar Stars League.

• After two months, he joined the Qatar senior football team.

• During his time in the Qatar Stars League, he became the first footballer of Indian origin to play in the league.

• In 2024, Tahsin Jamshid started representing The Qatar national football team.

• In September 2024, when he was 17 years old, he represented Qatar in a World Cup qualifying match against Afghanistan, which was organised in Saudi Arabia.

• From 2024 to 2025, Tahsin Jamshid represented Agrupación Deportiva Alcorcón “B,” a reserve team of AD Alcorcón.

• After that, Tahsin Jamshid began playing for the Qatar U-23 team.

• He made headlines in June 2026 when he was named to represent the senior Qatar team in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Group A in  the Qatar’s matches against Afghanistan and India on 6 June and 11 June 2026.

• It was the first time that an Indian origin player was selected for this tournament after Vikash Dhorasoo, who played for France in 2006.

• His father expressed his happiness in a media talk. He said,
  

  When we won the Sir Ashutosh Mukherjee Shield, it was like winning a World Cup for each one of us. Now to see my son Tahsin play in the FIFA World Cup for Qatar feels like achieving my dream.”
