• Dattatreyudu Nori is the founding member of the Indo-American Cancer Institute for Women and Children. It is a cancer hospital and research centre with 450 beds in Hyderabad. In 2001, this hospital was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India.

• In 2015, he made headlines when the Government of India awarded him the Padma Shri award, the fourth-highest civilian award of India for his contributions in the field of medicine.
